Law Enforcement, Community Groups Round Up Horses in Nolan County
Community groups and first responders rounded up horses from an overturned trailer in Nolan County yesterday afternoon.
The crash happened on May 20 near the 239-mile marker between Sweetwater and Roscoe. Several horses escaped onto the interstate and nearby areas following the crash.
The Nolan County Sheriff’s Office, along with partnering agencies and fire crews, spent hours safely rounding up the horses while working to keep drivers and the community safe.
“To everyone who shared posts on social media, making the community aware of the incident, and to those who answered the call and helped us, thank you. Your support and kindness reflect the very best of Nolan County and our surrounding counties,” Sheriff James Villanueva shared.
