Abilene Man Sentenced to Prison for 2023 Shootout

An Abilene man has been sentenced to four years in prison after a shootout that nearly hit a person.

The 2023 shootout sent bullets into five homes and narrowly missed at least one resident.

Court documents show that Deion Omar Pryor, Dameion Pryor and Qua-shawn Colomb were sitting on the porch of a home in the 700 block of South Crockett Street when a vehicle drove by and someone inside began shooting at them.

Investigators said the three men returned fire, resulting in a hail of gunfire that struck at least five nearby homes.

Court records said that more than 20 rounds hit nearby residences.

One resident told authorities that a bullet flew past her head before striking her front door, according to court documents.
