San Angelo Man Arrested in Alpine for Gun Crime

A San Angelo man is in custody and is facing multiple felony charges after he allegedly threatened someone with a firearm and barricaded himself in a room at an Alpine hotel.

The Alpine Police Department reported that at approximately 7:20 p.m. on May 18, officers responded to an incident that had occurred at the Holiday Inn Express located on East Highway 90 in Alpine.

During the subsequent investigation, the responding officers “discovered that a male subject had produced a firearm and threatened the victim.”

The threatened individual was able to exit the room and report what happened.

APD said the suspect remained in the room but would leave it willingly and be taken into custody after some time.
