San Angelo Woman Dies in Odessa Wreck with Semi Truck

A San Angelo woman died in Odessa last month after her vehicle was hit by a semi truck.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deadly accident occurred at the intersection of State Highway 302 and Yukon Road in Odessa at approximately 8 p.m. on May 28.

The semi truck and the victim’s Kia were traveling in opposite directions when the semi failed to yield the right of way and caused the woman to hit the front end of the trailer.

The driver of the Kia, identified as 49-year-old Kennedy Kimberly Kay of San Angelo, sustained fatal injuries due to the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck, a 38-year-old male of Odessa, was uninjured.
