Chad Decker Assumers Tom Green County Precinct 2 Seat After Appointment

The Tom Gren County Commissioner's Court has welcomed a new member.

Chad Decker won the Precinct 2 Republican Party primary in March and was appointed by County Judge Lane Carter to fill the unexpired term of Precinct 2 Commissioner Sammy Farmer, who previously held the seat.

Decker will run unopposed in the November 2026 election, and the commissioners chose to appoint Decker to fill the unexpired term.
