More than 1,000 protesters surrounded a federal government building in Los Angeles, California.
ICE said that the agitators shouted anti-ICE slogans and scuffled with agents.
DHS said the agitators were throwing rocks, bottles and cement blocks at police officers, and that two officers were receiving medical treatment after being struck by the debris.
Two rioters have been arrested for assaulting federal law enforcement, according to DHS.
